Volume 42 - progress report

So some unfortunate circumstances have delayed volume 42.  We're literally only a few pages from release, but the last 10% is going to take another week at the shortest and might actually be longer.  Sorry!

Here's a preview version of the first new chapter to tide you over:

Highway Star part 7 (preview edition)

We've already fixed some things from that version for the final, so don't archive it or upload it anywhere please!

And yes, we're still planning on finishing part 4 this year, but if we slip by a month or two don't hold it against us OK?

    really appreciate the update! you guys are doing great take your time and make it as good as possible if anyone needs to read it that badly the duwang version is fine enough until youre done i still considered part 4 my fav based on just that so its not THAT bad

      What's going on is our touch-up artist, Orthio, had his computer stolen. So we have 5 or so pages that need corrections or redraws, and we're missing a high-quality scan of page 188 entirely. So if you want we can just release a version 0.9 with a crappy page 188 and put "NOT FINAL!" on all the pages that need fixing. Or we can wait for Jojolion compilation volume 1 to be finished so we can borrow their touch-up artist for this. Or you can give us $1000 so Orthio can buy a new computer.

      Yeah dead sorry, I really can't do much until I get a new laptop/pc in. I do want to jump back on this soon but as boco says we'll try and pull in some extra help till then. Thanks for all the support!

      We're about 18 years behind :(
      But then after we finally get 42 out there'll only be 4 more volumes to get out of the way - 38 chapters. It looks like we're gonna be racing the anime for a finish tho which'll be interesting. Literally no fan could've predicted that a year ago!

    You guys are doing an amazing thing you deserve so much more credit for. I'm willing to wait to finish this part(my favorite thus far, actually) just for the amazing quality you guys are putting out. Best of luck with this project, I can't even begin to thank you guys enough.

      We're missing a high quality scan of the last page. (this one: http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t133/Boco_XLVII/misc/JK187_zps69fb17ad.jpg ) If you could scan that at like 300 dpi or something, we'll clean/rotate/resize it to 1400x900 and be basically ready for release. Thanks so much for the offer!
