The end of an era

Man, we done it folks, we finally made it to the end. It's been what, almost 5 years now? And to think this project started over a drunken skype call, heh. I remember back then all I had was the french edition of volume 36 and photoshop cs2, this baby came quite a long way since then!

We'd like to extend our thanks to all of you who came and went as the project progressed. Your help was a real blessing for a small team like us. But most of all, Orthio and Boco, you two deserve all the honors for sticking with me pretty much all the way. I can't possibly put into words how much this project owes to you guy's hard work.

Boco, your translations were always top-notch and a joy to read through, and Orthio, you're one of the hardest working guys I've ever had the pleasure to have on my team. I may have been the foundation of this project, but you two were definitely the glue keeping it together. The invincible trio kind of started as just a name, but after you came along, there couldn't have been a more fitting name for us. Hurrah!
It was one hell of a ride, and I'm glad I got to see it to the end.

And of course, you fans also deserve a clap, you lot are a patient bunch(well, most of you are)!

We're nearing the end of the series now so the next two and a half volumes cover the whole of the final showdown. It's classic jojo so they make peace and end all rivalries calmly, might still be worth reading though.

Within a few more months we'll get 45 out, and then 46&47 a week after that. No idea about exact timing so don't ask.

Volume 29 Colour Hunt

I need some help!

I've managed to track down a few olds shonen jump magazines for their colour scans but we're still missing the issue that opens part 4, it should be the 21st issue of 1992 shonen jump.

If anyone could somehow get their hands on it for mailing or knows somewhere to get it could you let us know? I've been trying yahoo auctions for ages but it hasn't turned up there yet, it's probably quite rare by now tbh.

Volume 42 - progress report

So some unfortunate circumstances have delayed volume 42.  We're literally only a few pages from release, but the last 10% is going to take another week at the shortest and might actually be longer.  Sorry!

In this one, Josuke and Rohan face off in the game of the century!  It's everyone's favorite Suikoden minigame, Triple Toss! Also they get attacked by the Stand from Speed, which is pretty cool. Josuke is kind of a jerk for not using Crazy Diamond on Rohan's furniture though.

RPS Kid came & went

Here we are at volume 40! We're more than halfway done with part 4 now. Kira's having some trouble adjusting to his new life, and our heroes are having a hard time adjusting to the new crop of Stand users! Read as Rohan almost gets killed by an 11 year-old kid (featuring one chapter in full color!!!), and marvel at the alien invader.

I've been told the next arc, Highway Star, is not to be missed! I guess I'll find out if that's true while I translate it!  Expect it before the year's out - possibly quite a bit before, but we'll see.

Hello to all 194 of our loyal readers!  It has come to our attention that our release of volume 39 had a few minor typos and grammatical errors, so we fixed it up with this v2 release.

As a reminder, we've been doing a few things with our releases lately.  One, we're using Japanese name order and modes of address (mostly).  While we've stopped short of leaving in the honorifics, we've kept people using family or given names as appropriate rather than switching them all to given, and when a name is listed in full it's in family-given order.  Two, since quotation marks are used as intensifiers in Japanese and Araki really loves his quotation marks, we're taking a page from American comics and using a lot of bold.  So when you see seemingly random words and phrases in bold, that's because they were in quotes in the original.  And three, we've decided to preserve the use of fonts in the original as much as possible, so Stands are being given their own fonts whenever they have unique fonts in the Japanese.  If it gets annoying, say something and we'll go back to only using one or two fonts rather than the six that ended up in this volume.

Next volume... I don't even know what's up with the next volume! I haven't even read it yet! I heard there was an alien or something? Whatever! We're taking a short break from our hectic schedule, so don't expect volume 40 before July at the earliest.  But we're definitely going to keep at it until all of part 4 is in good, readable condition! With only 7 volumes left, we'll probably even be done by 2014!  ...maybe!

Where making this hapen

Just finished volume 39. We were expecting to get this out a week or two ago but something came up and two of our layout guys couldn't assist :x I filled in as well as I could, but if you notice a drop in quality, be sure to tell us so we can fix it for the next release. If nothing else we might take a short break from our super quick release schedule, maybe have the next one come out after finals in June/July.

Things are really heating up now! What's in store for our heroes now that Kira is on the offensive!? (I actually don't know! I haven't read any further than this before!!)

Does anyone else watch nature shows and get way too attached to the animals on them? A full hour spent with them; watching them grow with all their little true to selfnesses and then you just have to say goodbye and hope they're surviving. Really wish someone would make longer timescale tv of this sort of thing, they've already got more personality than most anime characters.

Man, I can't believe this project is almost 2 years old already. We haven't been able to put out a lot of releases recently(more like ever, actually) but for a team of casual newbies like us I feel like we did okay. Anyway, I'll be honest and say that this release came out a lot earlier than expected, and it's almost all thanks to my good friend(and new recruit) Tape. She is credit to team.

A humble apology on behalf of the team

Yeah guys I'm... really, really sorry for not giving any sort of update(I'm kind of terrible at managing stuff, you see). But yeah our releases came to a standstill a while ago as one our editors just kind of dropped the ball without officially announcing it so we were left hanging for a long time and our other editor(Phangry) had an ungodly amount of computer/photoshop-related problems and couldn't do anything for a while, so I was sitting there with a half-volume done and tons of unused scripts on my computer for several months.

I know, believe me I KNOW we've used these kind of excuses tons of times before and the feeling of guilt gnaws at the back of my mind every day like a fucking Harvest bug. But recently things have looked up(We've gotten new recruits!) and hopefully we'll be able to release our next volume soon.

Yeah yeah, I know this sounds like the same stuff I keep saying, but I mean it this time. So please bear with me for just a little longer and we'll do our best to bring you quality JoJo stuff.
